These certifications are for people who are interested in training and selling horses to the public with an emphasis on learning the process to get break throughs with difficult horses. These certifications equip students with the knowledge and skills in the process to pass the TQA Industry Colt Starting test as well as receive confidence in how to incorporate TQA resources into a horse training business. These certifications focus on learning and applying the TQA industry standards and guidelines set by TQA industry professionals. They also equip students with the knowledge and skills to be an assistant trainer for a horse training business. Finally, these certifications teach the process in setting a solid foundation in an all-round performance horse prospect: reining, fence work, rope horse (heading, heeling, breakaway). TQA certifications are broken down into 4 phases (phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, phase 4). Phase 4 is an industry ready horse and each phase certifies the student’s knowledge and ability to take a horse through the proper phases to set a solid foundation on an all-around performance horse prospect to sell to the public.

Ranch, Feedlot, Day Work & Ranch Horse Sales

These certifications are for people who are interested in working on ranches, feedlots or doing daywork where horsemanship, stockmanship and roping skills are required. These certifications are also for someone who wants to put together a business plan of how to incorporate an equine business into their cattle business through either riding outside horses or training, marketing and selling a solid ranch horse. TQA certifications are broken down into 4 phases (phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, phase 4). Phase 4 is an industry ready employee and each phase certifies the students knowledge and ability in horsemanship, stockmanship, roping, teamwork and time (speed regulation) to be hired on a ranch or feedlot.
